Frequently asked questions
What does Net 30 mean?
Net 30 means the full invoice amount is due 30 calendar days after the invoice date. Net 15, Net 45, and Net 60 follow the same pattern with different day counts.
Do payment terms include weekends?
Usually yes — terms count calendar days, not business days. If the due date lands on a weekend or holiday, most businesses accept payment on the next business day.
When should the clock start?
Most commonly from the invoice date. Some businesses use the delivery date or end-of-month. Pick whichever you state on the invoice — the important part is being consistent.
