How do I work out a day rate?
Start from the yearly income you need, add your business costs, and divide by the days you can realistically bill, often 180 to 220 a year.
Do I charge for a cancelled day?
If your terms include a cancellation fee, yes. Without one it is difficult, so put it in writing before you accept a booking.
